WOODFORD RESERVE LAUNCHES ITS LATEST BATCH PROOF BOTTLING

Brown-Forman, has announced the launch of its latest Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection Batch Proof bottling.

Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection Batch Proof 2023 Edition (62.4% ABV) is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon, produced by blending a selection of barrels into a single batch, then bottled at its natural cask strength/proof. The whiskey was made using the same mashbill as the brands signature bourbon bottling.

This latest release in the annual limited-edition series, celebrates the commitment to craftsmanship of Master Distiller Elizabeth McCall and Master Distiller Emeritus Chris Morris. 

Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection Batch Proof 2023 Edition, is said to deliver notes of peppery baking spice, cardamom and pine on the nose, followed by notes of leather, cedar and dry vanilla on the palate.

Commenting on the launch, Elizabeth McCall, Master Distiller at Woodford Reserve, said: “The trademark flavours of Woodford Reserve are even more pronounced – and more bold – in this celebrated annual release. It’s a high-proof bourbon with complex flavours.”

FETTERCAIRN LAUNCHES ITS LATEST 18 YEAR OLD RELEASE

Whyte & Mackay, has today announced the 2023 release of its Fettercairn 18 Year Old.

Fettercairn 18 Year Old (46.8% ABV) is a single malt Scotch whisky, which was initially matured in American white oak casks, before being finished in 100% Scottish oak barrels, sourced from the Scottish Highlands.

Created by Whyte & Mackay’s whisky maker Gregg Glass, Fettercairn 18 Year Old launched in 2022, and is the Highlands based whisky brands first expression to be finished in locally sourced Scottish oak.

This latest release is said to be the complete embodiment of Fettercairn’s values and their commitment to the future of progressive, flavour led, whisky making. This expression is both innovative in style and substance and celebrates what makes Fettercairn different, from their unusual tropical house style – achieved by the unique copper cooling ring distillation – to their future-focussed approach to local sourcing.

Fettercairn 18 Year Old, is said to deliver notes of sugared almonds, baking spices, passionfruit and guava on the nose. Followed by notes of exotic syruped fruits, patisserie sugars, brioche, spices, berries, cacao and vanilla on the palate.

Limited in quantities, Fettercairn 18 Year Old will be available next month from specialist retailers, for a RRP of £200.00.
