Scotch whisky specialist Douglas Laing & Co, has today announced the launch of its latest Chocolate Edition bottling, from its Scallywag blended malt Scotch whisky range.
Scallywag – The Chocolate Edition (48% ABV) is comprised of a number of single cask, single malt whiskies from Speyside, which have been matured in a combination of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso Sherry casks.

This 6th release in the annual limited-edition series, which is natural burnt sienna in colour, is said to deliver notes including velvety dark chocolate, rich red berries and buttery caramels.
Commenting on the launch, Scott Morrison, Brand Manager at Douglas Laing & Co, said: “This special bottling is certainly one that we have a lot of fun with each year as we strive for chocolate perfection. It’s been great to watch the series grow in popularity and demand over the years, going from 300 bottles in 2018 to our now 4,200 bottles sixth annual release. Featuring a phenomenal hand-drawn design combined with the exceptionally moreish liquid, this bottling is a truly special offering, and we can’t wait for people to enjoy it!”
Scallywag – The Chocolate Edition, will be available later this month from specialist retailers, for a RRP of £60.00.
