DINGLE DISTILLERY LAUNCHES ITS LATEST BATCH OF SINGLE MALT WHISKEY

Dingle Single Malt Batch 5 (46.5% ABV) has been matured in a combination of ex Bourbon, PX and Madeira casks.

For the Dingle Distillery, which produces a mere 4 casks of hand-crafted whiskey a day, this latest release will make history as their biggest, with a total of 36,500 bottles.

This will include 500 bottles which will be bottled at cask strength (59.3% ABV) as a tribute to the 500 Founding Fathers (and mothers), the people who backed the distillery at its foundation by each investing in a cask of the first spirit to come from Dingle's stills.

For Master Distiller Graham Coull, who joined Dingle in October 2019, this is his second batch release. He believes that the use of Madeira casks in this whiskey adds a subtle complexity.

Commenting on the launch, Graham, said: "The Madeira influence adds a great depth of flavour and a kind of backbone to this remarkable whiskey while not masking the subtle spice from the Bourbon casks or sweet tone from the Pedro Ximenez ones".

Dingle Single Malt Batch 5, will be available this month in Ireland for a RRP of €70.00. Dingle Single Malt Batch 5 Cask Strength, will be available exclusively online from irishmalts.ie for a RRP of €150.00.
