WS:02 The Long & Short of It, follows the first release in the series last year; WS:01 Borders Malt & Rye. While The Borders Distillery single malt matures, the series presents an opportunity for the distilling team to get creative.
This latest release from the Hawick based distillery, is said to deliver notes of fig pudding, butterscotch, sultanas, gooseberry skin, citrus zest and green apple.
Commenting on the launch, John Fordyce, Managing Director at The Borders Distillery, said: “While we wait patiently for the first single malt from the Scottish Borders in nearly 200 years to be deemed ready for bottling by our tasting panel, the Workshop Series gives our distilling team the chance to channel their imagination, energy and talents into making whiskies that really express our personality. It’s an exciting evolutionary journey that everyone can be part of.”
WS:02 The Long & Short of It, will be available later
this month from the distillery’s online shop, for a RRP of £40.00.
