Walsh Whiskey, has today announced the launch of its 2023
‘The Irishman’ Vintage Cask, limited-edition bottling.
The Irishman Vintage Cask 2023 (55.3% ABV) is a cask
strength Irish blended whiskey, which has been produced using a combination of
single pot still and single malt Irish whiskeys, matured in first-fill bourbon
barrels.

The Irishman Vintage Cask 2023, is the 15th release in the series which launched in 2008. The first bottling become the first triple-distilled Cask Strength Irish whiskey to be released in over half a century.
This latest release from the County Carlow based brand, is
said to deliver notes of orchard fruits, vanilla and nuts on the nose, followed
by notes of peach, apple blossom, fig and honey on the palate.
Commenting on the launch, Walsh Whiskey Founder, Bernard
Walsh said: “The Irishman Cask Strength is a labour of love. This blend of
purely premium, aged single malt and single pot still, recreates one of Irish whiskey’s
greatest 19th century traditions, which The Irishman first brought back in
2008. This year’s proud offering is bottled at 55.3% ABV. The 2023 edition of
The Irishman Vintage Cask is a strong, complex and inviting exploration.”
Limited to 8,400 bottles, The Irishman Vintage Cask 2023, will
be available later this month from specialist retailers, for a RRP of €145.00.
