The Louisville, Kentucky based Michter's Distillery, has
announced the launch of its latest batch of 10 Year Old single barrel Bourbon. The
first to be released since 2021.
Michter's 10 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon (47.2% ABV) was
matured in charred American white oak barrels, which were hand selected by Master
of Maturation Andrea Wilson and Master Distiller Dan McKee.

While the position of Master Distiller is well established in Kentucky, the position of Master of Maturation is less common outside of Scotland and Ireland. Andrea Wilson's job is to support Dan McKee by managing barrel specifications, barrel procurement, heat cycling, the monitoring of liquid temperatures during aging and tracking the maturation of particular barrels like those evaluated for the latest 10 Year Old release.
Commenting on the launch, Michter’s President Joseph J.
Magliocco, said: "I thought that the 10 Year Bourbon we are now releasing
was drinking beautifully last year, but our Master Distiller Dan McKee and our
Master of Maturation Andrea Wilson told me that with one more year of
maturation it would be extraordinary. At Michter's the goal we strive for is to
produce the greatest American whiskey. We're grateful for all the understanding
and patience that our loyal Michter's fans have shown in waiting an additional
year for the release of our 10 Year Bourbon."
Michter's 10 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon, will be
available next month from specialist retailers in the US, for a RRP of $185.00
- 750ml.
