This latest release from the Whisky Merchant founded by Daithí O’Connell, is named after the home of W.D. O’Connell’s new headquarters in Choill Mhic Thomáisín, Co. Waterford.
Tomásín, which is pronounced: thumb-aus-een, follows on from
W.D. O’Connell’s recent PX Series, Sherry Series, Bill Phil and Bourbon &
Rye releases.
Commenting on the launch, Daithí O’Connell, said: “We are
really excited about this next step in our development; moving into our own
headquarters in Kilmacthomas, we felt the need to show the community here what
it means to us and how much we are committed to the area and what better than
naming one of our products after the same place and Tomásín ( pronounced:
thumb-aus-een) is evidence of that commitment. The Pot Still range will take
time to develop, we have been working on multiple cask styles over the last 2
years and it will take maybe another 18 months to two years to get to a place
where we can release a small batch variation, so in the meantime we will
showcase our different cask styles individually.”
Limited to 250 bottles, W.D. O’Connell Tomásín, will be
available exclusively via the W.D. O’Connell online shop, from 12:00pm on December
17th. RRP €79.95.
