The Mississippi based Cathead Distillery, has announced the
launch of its latest Old Soul Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
Old Soul – Small Batch 2021 Edition (45% ABV) is a blend of
two whiskeys aged four and five years, produced using a mashbill of 75% corn,
21% rye and 4% malted barley.

Developed by Cathead Co-Founders Richard Patrick and Austin Evans, this year’s Old Soul release is said to boast a more mature flavour profile compared to its predecessors, delivering notes including dried fruits, cocoa, toffee, vanilla, nutty toffee, banana nut muffins, rye spice and fresh leather.
Old Soul – Small Batch 2021 Edition, was produced using 88
barrels of whiskeys which were distilled in Mississippi and Indiana, but were
aged onsite at the Cathead Distillery.
Commenting on the news, Richard Patrick, said: “Adding rare
and unique bourbons to our whiskey portfolio continues to be a major focus for
us. With a nod to bourbon traditions of the past and future whiskeys to come,
we’re thrilled to share this high-rye Old Soul rendition with Cathead loyalists
and whiskey fans, alike.”
Old Soul – Small Batch 2021 Edition, is now available from
the Cathead Distillery online store and selected retailers across the US, for a
RRP of $44.95.
