The Lakes Distillery, has today announced the launch of a new limited-edition single malt whisky, in collaboration with Harvey Nichols.
The Whiskymaker’s Editions - Le Goûter (49.5% ABV) is a one-off release of The Whiskymaker’s Editions, which has been exclusively made for the department store chain, to showcase the sense of adventure of The Lakes Distillery Whiskymaker Dhavall Gandhi.

This latest release from the Cubria based distillery, is said to be inspired by treasured memories of the anticipation and taste sensations created by a childhood cake shop excursion, and unfurls a light and delectable dimension of The Lakes Single Malt.
The Whiskymaker’s Editions - Le Goûter, which was initially matured in bourbon barrels, before some of the maturing whisky was transfered into a variety of other casks, is said to deliver notes of vanilla, fragrant jasmine, crème anglaise, pear, citrus zest and freshly baked madeleines.
Commenting on the launch, Dhavall Gandhi, said: “The Whiskymaker’s Editions conjure up precious memories, create opportunities to generate new ones, and push boundaries through the art of whisky. Like every Le Goûter moment, presentation is everything. That is why we teamed up with artist Eili-Kaija Kuusniemi to reflect the story behind the whisky in luscious watercolours and a fresh and free-spirited style.”
Limited to 306 numbererd bottles, The Whiskymaker’s Editions - Le Goûter, is now available from Harvey Nichols Knightsbridge, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol, Edinburgh and online, for a RRP £99.50.
