WATERFORD DISTILLERY LAUNCHES ITS INAUGURAL SINGLE MALT

The Waterford Distillery, has today officially announced the launch of its inaugural single malt whisky release.

Waterford 1st Cuvée: Pilgrimage (50% ABV) which was created by Head Distiller Ned Gahan, is the first release from the ‘terroir-driven’ whisky producer, based at the former Guinness brewery in Waterford, Ireland.

Waterford 1st Cuvee: Pilgrimage

This inaugural release, is the result of the bringing together each of the 36 farms that Waterford distilled in their first year, each one location, captured in spirit, a unique Waterford distillate. Together, they are said to make a complex and multi-layered single malt.

Limited to 1,500 bottles, Waterford 1st Cuvée: Pilgrimage, will be available exclusively at a distillery open day, on Saturday 25th April, for a RRP of €150.00.

Tickets to the event are being sold via Eventbrite. 50% of which sold over the weekend, as part of a prelaunch for those who had registered on the Waterford website.

The open day will celebrate Waterford whisky’s coming of age, and in addition to providing the first opportunity to sample their first release, there will also be music, food and drink from local suppliers.
