GLENDRONACH LAUNCHES THE 10TH BATCH BOTTLING IN ITS GRANDEUR SINGLE MALT WHISKY SERIES

The GlenDronach Distillery, has today announced the launch of the 10th release in its limited-edition Grandeur series.

GlenDronach Grandeur Batch 10 (50.1% ABV) has been matured exclusively in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks for over 27 years.

Limited to just 2293 bottles, this latest release from the Aberdeenshire based distillery, is said to deliver notes of ripe damsons, black walnut, bramble and apple jam, old antique leather, truffle oil and cedar cigar box on the nose. Followed by notes of morello cherry, dark chocolate, blackberry jus, black truffle, prunes and old-fashioned treacle gingerbread on the palate.

Commenting on the launch, Rachel Barrie, The GlenDronach Master Blender, said: “Quietly maturing for over 27 years in the darkness of our dunnage warehouses, The GlenDronach Grandeur Batch 10 is a symphony of depth and mellow maturity, reminiscent of times gone by.”

GlenDronach Grandeur Batch 10, will be available later this month from specialist retailers, for a RRP of £449.99.
