Scotch whisky specialist Douglas Laing & Co, has today announced the launch of a new sherry edition bottling, from its Rock Island blended malt Scotch whisky range.
Rock Island Sherry Edition (46.8% ABV) is a marriage of single cask single malts from islands including Islay, Arran, Jura and Orkney, which were finished in specially selected Spanish Sherry butts.

Rock Island Sherry Edition, is said to capture the essence of Scotland’s whisky islands with an earthy, sweetly-peated style balanced by a spicy, sherried warmth at its core.
Commenting on the launch, Cara Laing, Director of Whisky at Douglas Laing & Co, said: “Rock Island Sherry Edition exemplifies the impact exceptional Sherry butts can have on a peated, oceanic style of Whisky – when spicy sweet meets maritime peat. We are delighted with the end result – it’s a phenomenal Whisky and a wonderful dram to pair with some shellfish this National Oyster Day!”.
Rock Island Sherry Edition, will be available from specialist retailers later this month, for a RRP of £45.99.
