Irish Distillers, has today announced the launch of a new
expression from its innovative and experimental Method and Madness brand.
Method and Madness - Garryana Oak Edition (46% ABV) is an Irish
single pot still whiskey, which was initially matured in ex-Bourbon barrels,
before being finished in casks made from virgin Garryana oak from the rainy
Pacific Northwest for between 4 and 12 months.

This latest release is said to be exceptional in its use of Garryana Oak / Oregon white oak, which is rare and distinctive for its tough and dense wood properties, and brings a unique richness, complexity and spiciness to the whiskey.
Launched in 2017, the Method and Madness brand is dedicated
to exploring new mash bills, distillation techniques, and wood finishes in the
world of Irish whiskey. The Micro Distillery serves as a blank copper canvas of
innovation and experimentation at Midleton where whiskey masters and
apprentices come together to develop curious and intriguing liquids to showcase
to the world.
Method and Madness - Garryana Oak Edition, is said to deliver
notes of smoked applewood, treacle, and golden raisins on the nose. Followed by
notes of crushed black pepper, coffee cake, toasted wood on the palate.

Method and Madness - Garryana Oak Edition, will be available
later this month from specialist retailers, for a RRP of €95.00.
