Sotheby’s, has announced that it is auctioning off a bottle of the limited-edition Black Bowmore Aston Martin DB5 1964.
Black Bowmore DB5 1964 (49.6% ABV) which launched in late 2020,
is a 31 Year Old single malt Scotch whisky, which was matured in a Williams
& Humbert Walnut Brown Oloroso Sherry butt.

Black Bowmore DB5 1964, is a high-concept marriage of British craftsmanship; the iconic and critically acclaimed Black Bowmore has long been an object of desire for whisky afficionados across the world, while the Aston Martin DB5 is the ultimate symbol of sophistication.
Bowmore and Aston Martin have partnered to create just 27
bottles of this exceptional whisky innovatively presented in a handblown bottle
created by Glasstorm that incorporates the DB5 piston into its design.
Commenting on the Black Bowmore DB5 1964, David Turner,
Distillery Manager at Bowmore, said: “1964 represents a significant date in the
modern history of the distillery. Not only a key moment in how we distilled our
spirit, but perhaps even more significant as this very spirit went onto create
Black Bowmore. These defining moments are fundamental to the history of
Bowmore. This collaboration with Aston Martin has allowed us to once again
showcase this iconic single malt in the most incredible way.”
Expected to fetch between $100,000 – $200,000, Black Bowmore
DB5 1964, will be open to online bidding for just 48 hours, with the auction closing
at 9am EST on February 10th.
