WYOMING WHISKEY ANNOUNCE THE LAUNCH OF SPECIAL EDITION ECLIPSE BOURBON

Wyoming Whiskey, has announced the release of a special edition bourbon, which has been launched to celebrate an up-coming solar eclipse, which will be visible across the state and the entire US on August 21st.

Wyoming Whiskey Eclipse Edition (44% ABV) is said to be similar to the brands Small Batch Bourbon, delivering notes of sweet corn, molasses and clove on the nose. Followed by notes of vanilla, caramel, charred oak and a hint of citrus on the palate.

In a full eclipse, the moon passes between the earth and sun. Day will become night and those watching will see the sun’s glowing corona.

The eclipse is predicted to scribe its shadow across Wyoming beginning in Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park and totally darken Lander, Thermopolis and Casper as it creeps to the east and will partially darken our distillery.

Bottles of Wyoming Whiskey’s Eclipse Edition, will come packaged in a limited edition black canister and each bottle will indicate the Eclipse Batch.

Commenting on the launch, David DeFazio, Founder of Wyoming Whiskey, said: “As a company founded on a commitment to Wyoming, we have created a once-in-a-lifetime expression of our Wyoming-made bourbon to accompany this once-in-a-lifetime event. While most batches are made with 40 barrels, Eclipse was created from only 24 barrels selected this spring by Sam (Mead), which means that only 1,000 cases are available."

Wyoming Whiskey Eclipse Edition, will be available later this month from specialist retailers in the US, for a RRP of $45.00.
