London’s oldest independent whisky specialist Milroy’s of
Soho, has announced the launch of four new bottlings, as part of the start of its
60th Anniversary celebrations.
The new releases are comprised of two Vintage Reserve bottlings
- selected by their in-house experts and two Soho Selection bottlings – a range
which launched in May 2023, and is said to embrace the esoteric side of
whisky-making.

The two new releases in the Milroy’s Vintage Reserve Collection are comprised of:
Benriach 27 Year Old 1996 Milroy's Vintage Reserve (42.9%)
is a single malt Scotch whisky, distilled on March 12th 1996, and matured in a
refill Hogshead. Limited to 221 bottles. RRP: £395.
Glenburgie 27 Year Old 1995 Milroy's Vintage Reserve (52.3%)
is a single malt Scotch whisky, distilled on June 20th 1995, and matured in a
Hogshead. Limited to 237 bottles. RRP: £275.
The two new releases in Milroy’s Soho Selection are comprised of:
Highland Peated Malt 19 Year Old 2004 Soho Selection #12 (55.5%)
is a single malt Scotch whisky, distilled on January 21st 2004, and matured in
a refill American oak barrel. Limited to 268 bottles. RRP: £125.
Blended Malt 6 Year Old 2017 Soho Selection (59.1%) is a
blended malt Scotch whisky, distilled in Campbeltown on March 16th 2017, and
matured in a refill American hogshead. Limited to 277 bottles. RRP: £54.95
The Milroy brothers established their Soho emporium in 1964,
the same year alcohol price controls were lifted. Through supplying quality
spirits at fair prices, the shop became an institution for making fine malts
accessible to all. Milroy’s celebrates its 60th anniversary in November 2024,
with an array of events and special releases planned to drop throughout the
year.
Commenting on the launch, Jolyon Dunn, Milroy’s CEO, said: “We’re
incredibly excited to share these new bottlings at the start of what’s set to
be a special year for us here at Milroy’s. Our team is always on the hunt for
remarkable casks to bottle and share, and all four January 2024 releases are
just that. With Vintage Reserve, it’s all about celebrating classic distillery
character and what makes each place so special. For Soho Selection, we’re
looking for the more unusual, more modern expressions that show good whisky can
come at any age."
