RENEGADE RUM LAUNCHES ITS NEW FLAGSHIP RANGE IN THE US

The Grenada based Renegade Rum Distillery, has announced the launch of four new rum expressions - which will initially launch in the US, as part of the brands first flagship range.

The four new aged and unaged bottlings from the distillery founded by Mark Reynier in 2020, are said to showcase Renegade’s pioneering methodology.

Renegade Rum launches its new flagship range in the US

Renegade All-Island Cuvée (46% ABV) which has been produced using a combination of pot and column distilled rums, is said to be the distillery's greatest assemblage of component terroirs, multiple single farm origins, cane varieties, distillation methods and wood types.

Renegade Single Farm Cuvée Dunfermline (50% ABV) which has been produced using a combination of pot and column distilled rums, is said to take its inspiration from the Grand Vins of Bordeaux, with its assemblage of individually distilled component terroirs from Dunfermline farm.

Renegade MicrOrigin (55% ABV) which has been produced using a combination of pot and column distilled rums, and cane grown on Hope Farm on the island's wild, Atlantic-swept east side, is said to represent the ultimate precision of the distillery's approach.

Renegade Cuvée Aura (46% ABV) which has been produced using a combination of pot and column distilled rums, is an unaged rum, which presents the distillery's pure spirit prior to maturation and is said to showcase its vibrantly fresh cane rum flavours.

As per all of Renegade’s bottlings to date, these latest releases are produced using fresh sugar cane juice rather than generic molasses, and are free from any added colour or sugar. They are also non-chill filtered.

Commenting on the news Mark Reynier, said: "We were delighted with the initial awards and accolades for our Pre-Cask bottlings, but now it is time to evolve our concept even further. We are therefore excited to present our full core range – beginning at a rum made from just a single field of cane – a single building block – all the way through to beguiling cuvées using cane showcasing Grenada's diverse array of terroirs.”

He went onto say: "These are creative assemblages that bring greater complexity for the drinker. Finally, spirits enthusiasts or single malt drinkers who are searching for transparency in rum – something authentic and natural, with a real story to tell – will, I hope, have delight in exploring the frontiers of rum's natural flavour."

Renegade All-Island Cuvée, Single Farm Cuvée Dunfermline, Renegade MicrOrigin and Cuvée Aura, will be available next month from specialist retailers in the US, for the respective RRP’s of $59.99, $69.99, $79.99 and $49.99.
