GLASGOW DISTILLERY LAUNCHES A TRIO OF NEW SMALL BATCH SERIES RELEASES

The multi-award-winning Glasgow Distillery, has today announced the launch of three new Small Batch Series bottlings.

For this latest batch of releases, The Glasgow Distillery have reinvigorated previous cask experimentations with finishes in Cognac, Tokaji and Innis & Gunn Golden Beer casks.

Glasgow 1770 Triple Distilled Cognac Cask Finish (52% ABV) is a single malt Scotch whisky, which was initially matured in ex-Bourbon casks for just under three years, before being finished in French Cognac puncheon casks for two and a half years. Limited to 1,576 bottles.

Glasgow 1770 Triple Distilled Peated Tokaji Finish (53.4% ABV) is a single malt Scotch whisky, which was initially matured virgin American white oak casks for three years, before being finished in Hungarian Tokaji hogshead casks for two years. Limited to 615 bottles.

Glasgow 1770 Golden Beer Cask Finish Batch 02 (58% ABV) is a single malt Scotch whisky, which was initially matured in first fill ex-Bourbon casks for just over three years, before being finished in an Innis and Gunn Golden Beer Cask for a year. This bottling is exclusively available in the distillery’s new Collaboration Pack, which comes paired with a bottle of Innis & Gunn’s PX Finish Golden Beer.

Commenting on the launch, Mike Hayward, Co-Founder of The Glasgow Distillery, said: “We’re in a privileged position at The Glasgow Distillery as we produce three different styles of single malt whisky - unpeated, peated and triple distilled. Our previous forays into Cognac, Tokaji and Golden Beer cask finishes were so popular that we decided to experiment further using these different styles.”

Glasgow 1770 Triple Distilled Cognac Cask Finish, Glasgow 1770 Triple Distilled Peated Tokaji Finish and Glasgow 1770 Golden Beer Cask Finish Batch 02 Collaboration Pack, are now available from the distillery’s online store for the respective RRP’s of £59.00, £59.00 and £64.00.
