Heaven Hill Distillery, has announced the launch of new
Barrell Proof bottling, from its Bernheim Original Kentucky Straight Wheat
Whiskey brand.
Bernheim Original Barrel Proof (59.4% ABV) has been matured
for 9 years, and produced using Heaven Hill’s wheat whiskey mashbill, which is
comprised of 51% wheat, 37% corn and 12% malted barley.

This latest cask strength release, which delivers the same familiar smoothness but with even more depth of flavour compared to the brands standard bottling, is said to be Bernheim in its purest form.
Bernheim Barrel Proof, which is produced at its namesake
distillery in Louisville, Kentucky, will be released twice a year. Each release
will have its own unique batch number and its proof will vary from edition to
edition.
Commenting on the launch, Conor O’Driscoll, Master Distiller,
said: “The launch of the Barrel Proof expression of Bernheim Wheat Whiskey is a
very exciting one for Heaven Hill. We know this is a product consumers want,
and we think this batch has the smoothness they’ll recognize from Bernheim
Original, but with an even greater depth of flavour.”
Bernheim Original Barrel Proof, will be available later this
month from specialist retailers in the US, for a RRP of £64.99.
