The Highlands based Tullibardine Distillery, has today announced the launch
of the latest expression from their limited-edition Marquess Collection.
Tullibardine - The Murray Triple Port (46% ABV) which was
distilled in 2008, is a single malt Scotch whisky, finished in a combination of
White Port, Tawny Port and Ruby Port casks.

The Marquess Collection, launched by the distillery in 2016, is a nod to famous historical figures who bore the Marquess of Tullibardine title in Scotland for centuries, and the rich history of the Tullibardine region.
The Murray name derives from the 2nd Marquess of
Tullibardine, Sir William Murray, who fought for the Jacobites at the Battle of
Sheriffmuir on the Ochil hills above the Tullibardine distillery.
This twelfth release from their Marquess Collection, is said
to deliver notes of tart raspberries, succulent black fruits, baked apple and
crème caramel on the nose. Followed by notes of spiced oak, cloves and cinnamon
on the palate.
Commenting on the launch, Mike Elliott, General Manager at Tullibardine
Distillery, said: “This is a very exciting release for us as it’s the first
time we’ve married together more than one type of port cask, let alone three! The
result is a brilliantly fruity and rich expression with a lovely blush colour. The
Murray expressions are our way of experimenting with casks and it’s great to be
able to share completely different flavour profiles with our customers.”
Limited to 18,278 bottles, Tullibardine - The Murray Triple
Port will be available later this month from specialist retailers, for a RRP of
£65.00.
