TEELING WHISKEY LAUNCHES FIRST BOTTLING FROM NEW RISING RESERVE SERIES

The Dublin based Teeling Whiskey, has announced the launch of the first bottling from a new series, which is said to celebrate the true global renaissance of Teeling, Dublin and Irish whiskey.

Teeling Rising Reserve 21 Year Old (46% ABV) is an Irish single malt whiskey, which was initially matured in ex-Bourbon barrels for over 16 years before being finished in Carcavelos White Port casks for over 5 years.

The Rising Reserve Series follows on from Teeling’s Revival and Renaissance bottlings, which were originally released to celebrate the opening of the Teeling Whiskey Distillery and with that, the revival and renaissance of the tradition of distilling in Dublin.

Teeling Risisng Reserve 21 Year Old, is said to deliver notes of green apples, honeyed citrus and candyfloss on the nose, followed by notes of stewed fruits, caramel, wood tannins and cinnamon spice on the palate.

Commenting on the launch, Jack Teeling, Founder and Managing Director of Teeling Whiskey, said: “We are delighted to launch the first release in our new Rising Reserve Series of 21 Year Old Single Malts. The Revival and Renaissance Series were originally launched to celebrate the rebirth and subsequent renaissance of distilling in Dublin, so the timing is perfect to launch our new series, as we enter a new chapter of growth. As the first new distillery in Dublin for over 125 years we have been leading the charge of re-establishing Dublin as the leader globally in urban distilling. With our Dublin distilled Teeling Whiskey now being exported around the world and a vibrancy around distilling in the city we look forward to driving the continued Rising of Teeling, Dublin and Irish Whiskey.”

Limited to 6,000 bottles, Teeling Risisng Reserve 21 Year Old, will be available later this year from specialist retailers in Ireland, for a RRP of €225.00.
