The Glasgow based independent bottler Caskade, has announced
the launch of a new limited-edition bottling, in collaboration with the Scottish
band Deacon Blue.
Born in a Storm (48.2% ABV) is a 13 Year Old single malt
Scotch whisky, which was distilled at an undisclosed Orkney distillery, and
finished in ex-Oloroso Sherry casks.

Born in as Storm which comes adorned with a bespoke, original watercolour inspired by the wild natural spirit of the Orkney Islands, has been released to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Deacon Blues 1987 debut album Raintown.
Commenting on the news, a spokesperson for Deacon Blue,
said: “We are delighted to celebrate 35 years of Raintown with this special
limited-edition whisky, bottled by Glasgow's own Caskade. 'Born in a Storm' is
a bold and enduring spirit which serves as an apt reflection of the people and
places it was inspired by and a perfect accompaniment to the record.”
Limited to 853 bottles, Born in a Storm is now available
from the Caskade website, for a RRP of £94.95.
