The GlenAllachie Distillery, has today announced the launch
of the first expression in a new limited-edition trilogy series, which celebrates
the 50th Anniversary of its Master Distiller’s, Billy Walker’s career in the
Scotch whisky industry.

(57.1% ABV) is a 16 Year Old cask strength, single malt Scotch whisky, which was
fully matured in nine 2005 vintage Spanish Sherry butts.

This latest from the Speyside based distillery, which is said to represent Billy Walker’s past when he made a name for himself by releasing heavily Sherried expressions to great acclaim, will be followed by two additional bottlings; Present and Future.
Billy Walker, has been at the helm of The GlenAllachie Distillery
for almost five years, having previously led an illustrious and expansive
career across numerous brands including Ballantine’s, Deanston, Tobermory,
BenRiach, GlenDronach and Glenglassaugh.
Commenting on the news, Billy Walker, said: “I’m incredibly
lucky to have been involved in the fascinating Scotch Whisky Industry for 50
long years. What a privilege it has been to have worked alongside some truly
amazing people, and indeed to have been involved with some world-leading
brands. Of course, there are some great memories and I truly pride in many of

The GlenAllachie Billy Walker 50th Anniversary Past Edition,
will be available later this month from specialist retailers, for a RRP of
£225.00.
