TEELING LAUNCHES ITS FOURTH AND FINAL BRABAZON BOTTLING

Teeling Whiskey, has today announced the launch of its fourth and final Brabazon Series bottling.

Teeling Brabazon Bottling - Series 4 (49.5% ABV) is a 13 Year Old single malt Irish whiskey, which was finished in rare white Port barrels for at least two years.

This latest bottling in the series which pays homage to the unique and distinct role that fortified wines can have on Irish whiskey, is said to continue Teeling’s dedication to creating new and interesting expressions of whiskey, and in particular expanding the underdeveloped Irish single malt category.

For this fourth and final release in the Brabazon Series, Teeling sourced barrels of a long forgotten historical style of Portuguese Port; Carcavelos, to help produce what they describe as a truly unique and distinctive bottling of whiskey.

Carcavelos, which dates back to the 18th century, was historically produced just outside of Lisbon. Most of the wineries have disappeared over the years, but it is still being produced on a very small artisanal scale, on a 25 acre site.

Commenting on the news, Jack Teeling, Founder and Managing Director of Teeling Whiskey, said: “Our aim with our Brabazon Bottling Series is to create full bodied tasting experiences for people who enjoy the added complexity and taste that fortified wine maturation imparts. We now complete the Series with our final bottling, this time using barrels previously used for a rare White Port, which produces a very unique expression of Teeling and Irish whiskey. This is a fitting end to our award-winning Series which celebrates the combination of old and new as well as highlighting our unique approach to making Irish Whiskey and our spirit of innovation.”

Limited to 10,000 bottles, Teeling Brabazon Bottling - Series 4, is now available from specialist retailers in Ireland, ahead of rolling out to select international markets. RRP €95.00.
