Whyte & Mackay, has today announced the launch of a new 12 Year Old expression, from its Highlands based Dalmore Distillery.
The Dalmore 12 Year Old Sherry Cask Select (43% ABV) was initially
matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks for ten years, before being
finished in specially selected Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, for up
to three years.

The Dalmore 12 Year Old Sherry Cask Select, which was created by Master Distiller Richard Paterson, is said to deliver notes of caramelised orange, ginger, sultanas and honey on the nose, followed by notes of dark chocolate, crushed almonds and cinnamon on the palate.
Commenting on the news, Richard Paterson, said: “The 12 Year
Old Sherry Cask Select is elegance personified and an excellent addition to our
Principal Collection. Its full finish in oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks
reveals a more floral, light and refined side to The Dalmore. It is a truly

Dalmore’s character.”
The Dalmore 12 Year Old Sherry Cask Select, is now available
from The Whisky Shop in the UK, for a RRP of £69.99. The new bottling is also
available across major Asian markets including Taiwan and China, and will be available
in the US next year.
