| Diageo launches its Lagavulin and Caol Ila Féis Íle 2020 bottlings |
Lagavulin 20 Years Old Fèis Ìle 2020 (54% ABV) which is limited to 6000 bottles, has been matured in a combination of Refill, Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry treated hogsheads.
Caol Ila 16 Years Old Fèis Ìle 2020 (53.9% ABV) which is limited to 3000 bottles, has been matured in a combination of Refill and Amoroso sherry treated hogsheads.
Lagavulin 20 Years Old Fèis Ìle 2020, is said to be a classic mature Lagavulin with a delightfully subtle extra twist of richness and power on the palate and in the finish. A powerful, smoothly sweet-smoky and delicious Lagavulin, from casks skilfully combined to enhance its spicy richness whilst keeping the keynote aromas and tastes.
Caol Ila 16 Years Old Fèis Ìle 2020, is said to be a richer Caol Ila with subtle aromas and sweet cleansing flavours on the palate. A powerful, smoothly sweet and delicious Caol Ila, its classic sweetness and power enhanced by secondary maturation.
Diageo, has also announced that a donation of 20 signed bottles including bottles from Lagavulin and Caol Ila and one bottle of the just-released Port Ellen 40-Year-Old will be donated to the Fèis Ìle Committee. The special bottles, worth a total of £10,000, will be used to raise funds for Islay-based charitable organisations and community groups.
Lagavulin 20 Years Old Fèis Ìle 2020 and Caol Ila 16 Years Old Fèis Ìle 2020, will be available from June 8th, from 16:00 BST, via shop.discoveringdistilleries.com for the respective RRP’s of £190.00 and £120.00.
