Those taking part will be sent samples of the proposed blends and will be able to vote on the direction they would like the blend to take. They will also have input to the label design. Once all votes are cast, the ‘The Lock In’ blend will be scaled up in a live stream online so that consumers have full transparency of the process. J.J. Corry ‘The Lock In’ will be made commercially available online once bottled.

J.J. Corry Irish Whiskey, was founded by Louise McGuane in 2015, and has resurrected the lost art of Irish whiskey bonding under the JJ Corry brand name. The company is maturing whiskey in a purpose built bonded rackhouse on the McGuane family farm.

Commenting on the news, Louise McGuane, Founder Louise McGuane, said: “I’ve watched with fascination as the global whiskey community has taken to sharing drams and stories online whilst in isolation. We have a community of dedicated J.J. Corry fans and normally we get to meet with them in person as we travel the world telling our story. That’s not possible right now, so instead we are bringing our blending process into their living rooms and engaging with our fans by getting them directly involved in the blending process.”

There will be limited availability for participants from the public and those interested can sign up to the J.J. Corry Irish Whiskey mailing list via their website: chapelgatewhiskey.com
