DALMORE CELEBRATES CHINESE NEW YEAR WITH NEW LIMITED EDITION EXPRESSION

Whyte & Mackay, has announced the launch of a new limited-edition Dalmore single malt Scotch whisky expression, in celebration of the Chinese New Year.

The Dalmore 28 Year Old (51.8% ABV) which has been matured in a combination of American white oak ex-bourbon casks and Graham’s Tawny Port pipes, will be available exclusively in Asia travel retail.

In addition to the Dalmore 28 Year Old, the Highland based distillery has also announced the launch of a special edition pack for its King Alexander III bottling.

The release of the Dalmore 28 Year Old and the King Alexander III special pack, will be supported by high-profile and eye-catching activation campaign, with dedicated in-store stands in key airports such as Taiwan Taipei, Singapore Changi, Hong Kong International Airport, Vietnam, Macau, China, Dubai International Airport and London Heathrow Terminal 3, and amplified on social media.

Limited to 1,300 bottles, The Dalmore 28 Year Old, will be available later this month through Asia travel retail outlets, for a RRP of $1,800.00.

BLACK BOTTLE RELAUNCHES ITS 10 YEAR OLD BLENDED SCOTCH WHISKY BOTTLING

Black Bottle, has today announced the relaunch of its 10 Year Old blended Scotch whisky expression, the first release from the brand in over 20 years.

Black Bottle 10 Year Old (40% ABV) has been matured in American oak casks, and as per its original 1998 release, which was discontinued in 2010, it has a strong Islay influence.

Black Bottle 10 Year Old, is said to deliver notes of smoke, honey, fruit and vanilla on the nose. Followed by notes sweet rich oak, soft fruits, smoke and spice on the palate.

Commenting on the news, Laura Thomson, Global Brand Manager at Black Bottle, said: “Fans of Black Bottle have had to wait a long time for a new release, so we wanted to make sure that this one was pretty special. We are passionate about our whiskies and take our time making sure that what we produce will be loved by new and loyal audiences alike. BLAIR ATHOL LAUNCHES NEW DISTILLERY EXCLUSIVE BOTTLING

Diageo, has today announced the launch of a new limited-edition, distillery exclusive expression from Blair Athol.

Blair Athol Distillery Exclusive Batch No.1 (48% ABV) has been matured in a combination of refill, rejuvenated and American Oak ex-bourbon casks.

The Blair Athol Distillery, stands at the gateway to the Scottish Highlands in the picturesque town of Pitlochry, Perthshire. Blair Athol’s ancient source of water from the Allt Dour and its setting in the peaty moorland of the Grampian mountains combines to create the whisky’s, mellow quality and smooth finish.

Blair Athol Distillery Exclusive Batch No.1, is said to deliver notes of green orchard fruits, baking spices, vanilla, brown sugar, liquorice and toffee on the nose. Followed by notes of vanilla, red apple, dried fruit and toasted nuts on the palate.

Commenting on the launch, Neil Murphy, Senior Site Manager at Blair Athol, said: “We are proud to present this rare expression of whisky in our Distillery Exclusive bottle. The unique flavour and distillery character of this malt whisky owes much to the location of the distillery in the foothills of the Grampian Mountains, but more to the traditional skills of our expert team. Limited to 6,000 bottles, Blair Athol Distillery Exclusive Batch No.1, will be available later this month, exclusively from the distillery, for a RRP of £90.00.
