The Cask Curation Series, which launched in 2023 with its inaugural Sherry Edition, celebrates Dalmore’s whisky making artistry and the role played by exquisite casks sourced from the world’s finest winemakers, in the creation of its single malt Scotch whisky.
The Port Edition was born from the exclusive partnership
between The Dalmore and Symington Family Estates, who grant The Dalmore’s
whisky makers exclusive access to the rarest of Graham’s Port casks.

winemakers, which the Port Edition celebrates.
Speaking exclusively to Steve Rush at The Whisky Business about the launch,
Kieran Healey-Ryder, Head of Whisky Discovery at Whyte & Mackay, said: “The Dalmore Cask Curation Port Edition is a
story that starts on the vine. It's the story of a promise. A promise made in
this place, the vineyards of Symington Family Estates, and their Graham’s Port.
This is no ordinary vineyard. Generations of winemakers have shaped The
Duoro Valley and Quinata dos Malvedos. The art of winemaking has had an
indelible impact to the valley.”
Kieran, went onto say: “When we chose cask partners, we are not limited to a style, as our new
make, made by our symphony of stills means that we can develop the character of
our whisky in a variety of rare and unusual casks. That is the magic as you
discover the world of the Dalmore.”
He concluded: “Here
in The Douro, flavour is not made. It is first grown, and then it is blended.
It is the ethos as makers, that we
share with Graham’s Port, a balance of creativity and technical expertise, that
makes this partnership and Cask Curation Port Edition so special.”
Limited to 150 sets, The Dalmore Cask Curation Series Port
Edition, is now available from select specialist retailers, for a RRP of
£35,000. The third release in the series will launch in 2025, followed by the
fourth and final release in 2026.
