The Columbia based Dictador Rum, has announced the launch of the two latest releases from its 2 Masters Series, which sees its first collaboration with the Welsh whisky distillery, Penderyn.
The partnership is said to represent a pinnacle of collaborative craftsmanship, led by Dictador’s Master Blender Hernan Parra - a third-generation member of the Parra family and custodian of their Family Reserve, and Penderyn’s Aista Phillips - the first female Master Blender in the 2 Masters series.

The Dictador 2 Masters Series, which launched in 2017, is comprised of rare finished rum releases, produced in collaboration with Dictador’s Rum Master Blender Hernan Parra, and other Masters from the worlds of wine and spirits.
The Dictador 2 Masters Penderyn Series bottlings, which are
comprised of rums produced using sugarcane honey and distilled in both copper
alembic and continuous column stills, are comprised of:
The Dictador 2 Masters Penderyn Vintage 1991 (40.7% ABV) was
distilled in 1991, and finished for 16 months in peated whisky quarter casks
from the Penderyn Distillery.
The Dictador 2 Masters Penderyn Vintage 2000 (42.6% ABV) was
distilled in 2000, and finished in PX-Sherry Casks, which previously held Penderyn
Welsh whisky.
The Dictador 2 Masters Penderyn Vintage 1991 (limited to 413
bottles) and The Dictador 2 Masters Penderyn Vintage 2000 (limited to 375
bottles) are now available from select specialist retailers, for the respective
RRP’s of $833 and $757.
