The Speyside based Benromach Distillery, has today announced
the launch of a new limited-edition 50 Year Old release.
Benromach 50 Year Old (54.6% ABV) is a single malt Scotch
whisky, which was matured for five decades in Sherry casks.

This latest release, is said deliver notes of citrus peel, hints of strawberry, smoke, pineapple, fruitcake and lemon sherbet on the nose. Followed by notes of orange zest, aged leather, Medjool dates, flambeed banana and toasted almonds on the palate.
Benromach 50 Year Old, comes presented in unique handcrafted
glass decanters created by Ross-shire-based Glasstorm - one of the UK’s most
established hot glass studios, who used a highly skilled ‘battuto’ technique to
finish the decanters. This technique is only practiced by master glassmakers
and sees the glass sculpted by hand, making each bottle a unique work of
art.
Commenting on the launch, Keith Cruickshank, Distillery

exceptional whiskies by hand. Each element of Benromach 50 Years Old has been
crafted by hand using traditional techniques. This includes the decanter, which

and meticulous attention to detail that has gone into crafting it. It is truly
a memorable experience for the team to be able to release this very special
whisky; a single malt that has been made by hand and shaped by time.”
Limited to 248 decanters, Benromach 50 Year Old, is now available
from select specialist retailers, for a RRP of £20,000.
