This latest release, which is said to be the pinnacle of Talisker’s single malts, delivers notes of freshly picked red apples, stone fruits, aromatic wood spice, vanilla pods and gentle sweetness on the nose. Followed by notes of warming smokiness, green chilli pepper heat, a gentle salinity, layers of orchard fruits, bonfire embers and sweet pecan fudge on the palate.
Commenting on the launch, Ewan Gunn, Senior Ambassador for
Diageo’s Single Malt Scotch Whiskies, said: “This new release of Talisker
30-Year-Old holds all the classic characteristics of Talisker, yet elevated to
new heights. Soaring with sweet smoke with pointy notes of pepper, this latest
release is an elegant and complex expression of Talisker.”
Limited to 2,610 bottles, Talisker 30 Year Old will be
available later this month from specialist retailers and malts.com for a RRP of
£1,300.
