Duncan Taylor launches two rare Macallan releases

Duncan Taylor Rarest Reserve Macallan 52 Year Old, was distilled in 1969 and initially matured in a American Oak ex-Bourbon barrel, before being transferred into first fill ex-Oloroso Sherry cask.

Duncan Taylor Rarest Reserve Macallan 33 Year Old, was distilled in 1991 and initially matured in a American Oak ex-Bourbon barrel, before being transferred into first fill ex-Oloroso Sherry cask.

The launch of the new series has been timed to celebrate Macallan’s 200th anniversary. Earlier this month Duncan Taylor presented HM King Charles III and HM Queen Camilla with a dram of the 52 Year Old Macallan at an event at Edinburgh Castle.

Commenting on the launch, Shawn Smith CEO of Duncan Taylor, said: “We continue to launch whiskies from our vaults that go as far back as the 1960s. We are very proud of the unique packaging that was created for these rare drams and know that fans of The Macallan may want the opportunity to taste these incredible malts or treasure them and keep as collector pieces.”

Duncan Taylor Rarest Reserve Macallan 52 Year Old and 33 Year Old, are now available from The Spirits Embassy website, for the respective RRP’s of £7,850 and £630.
