Scotch whisky specialist Douglas Laing & Co, has announced
the launch of the second Sherry Cask Finish bottling, from its Gauldrons blended malt Scotch whisky range.
The Gauldrons Sherry Cask Finish – Batch #002 (50% ABV) is comprised of
single cask, single malts from Campbeltown, which were finished in specially
selected Spanish Sherry casks.

The Gauldrons brand joined Douglas Laing’s Remarkable Regional Malts in 2017, completing the range of Scotch whisky regions with the final addition of Campbeltown.
This latest release, which follows on from their first Sherry
Cask Finish variant in 2022, is said to deliver notes of sea air, manuka honey
and macerated fruits on the nose, followed by notes of dark fruits and warm
spices on the palate.
Commenting on the launch, Emma Reid, The Gauldrons’ Brand
Manager, said: “We are delighted to launch the second expression of The
Gauldrons Sherry Cask Finish. The Gauldrons brand celebrates Campbeltown’s
illustrious history as a Whisky-making region and this expression of The
Gauldrons cements Douglas Laing’s commitment to showcasing the very best of
Campbeltown. Building on the success of last year’s release, this edition
remains classically Campbeltown with a maritime sweetness balanced by rich
Sherry notes of spice and dark fruits. We are looking forward to sharing it
with Whisky fans across the world.”
Limited to 5,580 bottles, The Gauldrons Sherry Cask Finish – Batch #002, will be available later this month from specialist retailers,
for a RRP of £65.00.
