The Ayrshire based Lochlea Distillery, has announced the launch
of its first core range bottling.

combination of first-fill Bourbon barrels, STR barriques and Oloroso Sherry

This latest release will sit alongside Lochlea’s seasonal limited-editions and is their first expression to be fully crafted by Production Director John Campbell, since he joined the company in November 2021.
Lochlea – Our Barley, is said to deliver notes of pear
syrup, fruit bon bons, warm cut grass and marmalade on the nose. Followed by
notes of golden syrup, pepper, rye bread, macadamia nuts and cream soda on the
palate.
Commenting on the launch, David Ferguson, Commercial Manager
at Lochlea, said: “I get excited each time we bring a new whisky to market, but
with Our Barley in particular I can’t wait to for more people to get hold of
bottles, try them and let us know what they think. This will be many consumers’
first taste of Lochlea, and the casks John has selected for this one give real
depth, alongside the signature Lochlea cereal and fruit notes. To me it’s our
best whisky yet.”
Lochlea – Our Barley, will be available from July 18th, from
specialist retailers, for a RRP of £45.00.
