Walsh Whiskey, has today announced the launch of its 12th
Writers’ Tears Cask Strength bottling.
Writers’ Tears Cask Strength 2022 (54.6% ABV) is a triple
distilled blend of single pot still and single malt Irish whiskeys, which were
matured in American oak bourbon barrels.

Writers’ Tears Cask Strength 2022, which is limited to 7,920 individually numbered bottles, is said to deliver notes pear drops and candied fruits on the nose and notes of heather honey, fennel and cinnamon spice on the palate.
Commenting on the launch, Bernard Walsh, Co-Founder of Walsh
Whiskey, said: “Cask strength Irish whiskey is still quite rare, but our
vatting combining both Pot Still and Single Malt is truly unique. Consumers are
looking to trade-up their Irish whiskey experience and this is a genuine
super-premium expression that has steadily built a following internationally
over the last 12 years.”
Writers’ Tears Cask Strength 2022, will be available later
this month from specialist retailers, for a RRP of €140.00.
