Whyte & Mackay, has today announced the launch of a new expression from its Speyside based Tamnavulin Distillery.
Tamnavulin White Wine Cask Edition (40% ABV) is a non-age-stated
single malt Scotch whisky, which was initially matured in American white oak
barrels, before undergoing its second period of maturation in Sauvignon Blanc
white wine casks.

This latest release which follows on from the success of the Tamnavulin Red Wine Cask Editions, is said to deliver notes of orchard green apples, bananas, ripe honeydew melon, white peach, fresh citrus, jasmine and vanilla coconut cream on the nose. Followed by notes of lemon, grapefruit, baked apple tart, cinnamon, ginger and lime biscuits on the palate.
The Tamnavulin brand was brought back to life in 2016, to
offer a "compelling" single malt proposition to price conscious consumers looking
for a credible, quality alternative to blends and a solution to those looking
to begin exploring the malt category.
Tamnavulin White Wine Cask Edition, will be available later
this month from specialist retailers, for a RRP of £32.00.
