Scotch whisky specialist Douglas Laing & Co, has announced the launch of a new limited-edition expression from its Gauldrons range.
The Gauldrons Sherry Cask Finish (46.2% ABV) is a blended malt Scotch whisky, comprised of single cask, single malts from Campbeltown, which was finished in specially selected Spanish Sherry casks.

The Gauldrons, which was inspired by the eponymous dark sandy coves on Campbeltown's west shores, literally means "bay of storms". It was here King Robert the Bruce, having been defeated by his enemies, was inspired watching a spider building his web with great patience but great difficulty, to try, try and try again.
The Gauldrons Sherry Cask Finish, is said to deliver notes of toffee apples, marshmallows, caramelised sugar and candyfloss on the nose. Followed by notes of crème brûlée, ginger, nutmeg, red apple and smoked barley on the palate.

Limited to 2,125 bottles, The Gauldrons Sherry Cask Finish, will be available later this month from specialist retailers, for a RRP of £60.00.
