This latest limited-edition, is the third expression in Cotswolds Distillery’s Hearts & Crafts collection. This annual series celebrates the Arts & Crafts movement which flourished in the Cotswolds and stood for the importance of traditional craftsmanship - the same values upon which the rural distillery was built.
Cotswolds Hearts and Crafts Rum Cask, is said to deliver
notes of baked apple, vanilla ice cream and a hint of nutmeg spice on the nose.
Followed by notes of soft brown sugar and ripe pears on the palate.
Commenting on the launch, Dan Szor, Founder of the Cotswolds
Distillery, said: “I’ve always loved a good sipping rum, but I’ve often felt let
down by “rum-finished” single malts. This wonderful new Hearts & Crafts
bottling, however, really delivers. Our focus on full-term maturation, rather
than finishing, and the use of high-quality French oak casks seasoned with
Caribbean rum makes this whisky both finely balanced and immensely satisfying.
It’s quickly become my favourite dram!”
Cotswolds Hearts and Crafts Rum Cask, is now available
exclusivley from the distillery shop and website, for a RRP of £74.95.
