William Grant & Sons, has announced the launch of three
new cask finished expressions, from its Speyside based Balvenie Distillery –
two of which are exclusive to Global Travel Retail.
The Balvenie Madeira Cask 15 Year Old (43% ABV) which was
initially matured in American oak whisky barrels, before being finished in Madeira
casks, and The Balvenie Pedro Ximénez Sherry Cask 18 Year Old (48.7% ABV) which
was initially matured in traditional American oak barrels, before being
finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry butts, will both be available through travel
retail outlets.

The Balvenie French Oak Cask 16 Year Old (47.6% ABV) which was initially matured in American Oak barrels, before being finished in Pineau casks, will be available from domestic specialist retailers.
Inspired by flavour journeys from The Balvenie team
throughout wine making regions of Europe, the new GTR expressions feature
finishing casks from Madeira and Pedro Ximénez from Jerez, while for the first
time in the distillery’s 129 years history, Pineau from the French Charentes
vineyards joins the domestic offer.

The new Balvenie expressions, will be available from April 1st,
RRP’s (tbc).
