This latest release which was distilled in 1994, is comprised of rare and unique cask finished Irish single malt whiskeys from The Old Bushmills Distillery – the world’s oldest licensed whiskey distillery, and is said to be a unique straw gold whiskey, with key notes of crème brûlée, cinnamon spice & tropical fruits.
Commenting on the news, Colum Egan, Bushmills Master
Distiller, said: “This 27-Year-Old Bourbon Cask is a really special single
malt. Maturing it for 21 years in first-fill bourbon barrels gives our single
malt beautifully intense vanilla notes that evolve into creamy crème brûlée
over time, complemented by gentle waves of cinnamon spice. It’s truly a
sensational whiskey that stands with the best of Irish single malt, a giant in
its own right.”
Colum, went onto say: “The Causeway Collection celebrates
our extremely rare and unique cask finishes, our passion for single malts and
honours our rich heritage. It’s a privilege to work with such rare liquid,
these special cask-finished whiskeys really are our greatest treasures.”
Limited to 678 bottles, Bushmills 27 Year Old Bourbon Cask, will
be available later this month exclusively from The Irish Whiskey Collection at
The Loop, Dublin and Cork Airports. RRP €650.00.
