Highland Park, has today announced the launch of its latest cask strength bottling.

Highland Park Cask Strength Release No.2 (63.9% ABV) is a non-age-stated single malt Scotch whisky, which has been matured in a combination of sherry seasoned European and American oak casks and ex-bourbon barrels.

This latest release from the Orkney based distillery, which was created by Highland Park, Master Whisky Maker, Gordon Motion, is said to deliver notes of pear, almond cake, toasted oak, liquorice, cracked black pepper and aromatic peat.

Commenting on the news, Gordon Motion, said: “Cask Strength Release No.2 celebrates the harmonious balance of tastes in the classic Highland Park style. I want to give everyone who loves Highland Park the chance to experience our single malt whisky in its purest form, its full flavour allows you to discover the taste and strength that appeals to your palate by adding ice or water according to your preference.”

Highland Park Cask Strength Release No.2, which is a permanent edition to the brands core range, will be available later this month from specialist retailers, for a RRP of £60.00.
