The Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery, has today announced the
launch of a new limited-edition expression, which has been bottled in homage of
Yorkshire Day.
Filey Bay Yorkshire Day 2021 (55% ABV) is a non-age-stated
single malt whisky, which has been matured in a combination of Oloroso Sherry casks
and Bourbon barrels.

This latest release, which follows on from their 2020 commemorative bottling, is said to deliver notes of dried fruit, sweet spices, cocoa, toffee and toasted oak.
In addition to the new expression, the distillery is hosting
a virtual open day on Saturday July 31st from 11:30am, which will include
tastings, talks and music.
Commenting on the launch, Joe Clark, Whisky Director at the
Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery, said: "Filey Bay Yorkshire Day 2021 is
without a doubt one of our most exciting releases of the year. Built around
some of our rarest sherry and ex-bourbon casks it is completely different to
any other releases we have available and by its very nature unrepeatable. A
truly special bottling."
Limited to 1,500 bottles, Filey Bay Yorkshire Day 2021 is now available from the distillery and a small selection of specialist retailers, ahead of Yorkshire Day on August 1st, for a RRP of £85,00.
