Brown-Forman, has today announced the launch of a new rye whisky expression, from its Kentucky based Old Forester Distilling Co.
Old Forester Rye Single Barrel (127 Proof / 63.5% ABV) is said by the brand to mark the first innovation of this rye recipe since the launch of its original 100 proof bottling.

This latest release follows on from the launch of Old Forester Rye in 2019, which was the first new recipe from Old Forester in nearly 150 years.
Old Forester Rye Single Barrel, is said to deliver notes of creamy vanilla, lemon custard, caramel and dark brown sugar on the nose, followed by notes of ripe orchard fruit, subtle cinnamon stick, dried dill and hazelnut on the palate.
Commenting on the launch, Zackie Zykan, Master Taster at the Old Forester Distilling Co, said: "The Old Forester Rye Single Barrel delivers on the same balanced and unique flavor profile of our 100 proof expression, only amplified and in unfiltered, raw form."
Old Forester Rye Single Barrel, will be available later this month in limited quantities, from specialist retailers across the US, for a RRP of $79.99 – 750ml.
