Diageo, has today announced the launch of its 2021 Lagavulin and Caol Ila Fèis Ìle limited editions.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, events for this year’s Fèis
Ìle (Islay Festival of Music and Malt) will be held virtually, and this year’s
festival bottlings will be available online.

Lagavulin Fèis Ìle 2021 (54.4% ABV) which is limited to 6,000 bottles, is a 13 Year Old single malt Scotch whisky, matured in refill American oak barrels and finished in high char Port-seasoned casks.
Caol Ila Fèis Ìle 2021 (56.6% ABV) which is limited to 3,000
bottles, is a 12 Year Old single malt Scotch whisky, matured in refill American
oak barrels and finished in high char Moscatel-seasoned casks.
Hand-selected by the distillery teams, the Lagavulin and
Caol Ila Fèis Ìle bottles, are said to represent a precious part of each
distillery’s rich heritage, offering whisky fans an exciting twist on their
core expressions.
Commenting on the Lagavulin Fèis Ìle 2021, Pierrick
Guilaume, Lagavulin Distillery Manager, said: “Fèis Ìle is an incredible week
for the island each year, allowing us to welcome whisky and music lovers around
the globe to the island we’re so proud to call home. While our celebrations at
Lagavulin Distillery are slightly different this year, we still have a fabulous
line up planned who will treat online guests to some of Scotland’s best music
and entertainment, as well as an incredible bottling which will excite fans of
Lagavulin and the festival.”
Commenting on the Caol Ila Fèis Ìle 2021, Samuel Hale, Caol
Ila Distillery Manager, said: “This will be my first festival as distillery
manager of Caol Ila and although we are unable to host the event in Islay, we
wanted to continue to honour the occasion with not only a wonderful online
event but also by creating a remarkable bottling. We’re sure it’s going to be
extremely popular with Caol Ila fans.”
Lagavulin Fèis Ìle 2021 and Caol Ila Fèis Ìle 2021, will be available
via malts.com from June 1st, with a pre-sale for subscribers from 14:00 BST on
May 31st, for the respective RRP’s of £160.00 and £130.00.
