GLEN SCOTIA LAUNCHES NEW 30 YEAR OLD EXPRESSION

Loch Lomond Whiskies, has today announced the launch of a new limited-edition, Glen Scotia single malt Scotch whisky expression.

Glen Scotia 30 Year Old (50.8% ABV) was distilled in 1989, and laid down to mature in European oak hogshead sherry casks.

This latest release from the Cambeltown based distillery, which comes presented in a hand-made case, created from sustainably sourced solid oak, is said to deliver notes of violet, lavender, sea spray, green apple, nutmeg and allspice on the nose. Followed by notes of honeyed pear, candied lemon, cinnamon, ground ginger, dark chocolate and espresso on the palate.

Commenting on the launch, Iain McAlister, Master Distiller at Glen Scotia, said: “The Glen Scotia 30 Year Old Single Malt is an exceptional new addition to Glen Scotia’s portfolio. The flavour profile is deep and distinguished, showcasing the complex flavours and maritime influence that Glen Scotia has become known for. Like our distillery, the Glen Scotia 30 Year Old is steeped in history and after three decades of maturation, I am proud to finally be able to unveil this new expression to the world.”

Limited to 500 bottles, Glen Scotia 30 Year Old will be available later this month from specialist retailers, for a RRP of £850.00.
