GEORGE DICKEL LAUNCHES NEW BOTTLED IN BOND BOTTLING

Diageo, has announced the launch of a new Bottled-in-Bond expression, from its George Dickel Tennessee whisky brand.

George Dickel Bottled in Bond - Second Edition (50% ABV) is an 11 Year Old whisky, which has been produced using a mashbill of 84% corn, 8% rye and 8% malted barley.

This latest release, which is produced by the Cascade Hollow Distilling Co, follows on from their 13 Year Old Bottled in Bond bottling, released in May 2019, which was named "Whisky of the Year" by Whisky Advocate magazine.

To be labelled as Bottled-in-Bond, a spirit must be composed only of the same class and type of spirits, the product of one distillation season by one distillery and unaltered from the original condition or character. It has to also be stored in oak containers a federally bonded warehouse, under US government supervision for at least four years and be bottled at 100 proof.

Commenting on the launch, Nicole Austin, General Manager and Distiller, said: "Bottled in Bond whiskies have always been one of my favourite categories because you know exactly what you're getting when you pick up a bottle. Our team continues to make great whisky that's reflective of the values we feel are most important, and I'm proud to share this year's vintage of George Dickel Bottled in Bond with everyone. Like last year's release, this bottling is a bold, complex spirit that shares the classic nutty, fruity and waxy characteristics that are expected from mature George Dickel whiskies."

George Dickel Bottled in Bond - Second Edition, will be available later this month, from selected retailers across the US, for a RRP of $39.99.
