ELIJAH CRAIG LAUNCHES NEW KENTUCKY STRAIGHT RYE EXPRESSION

Heaven Hill Distillery, has announced the launch of a new rye expression from its Elijah Craig brand.

Elijah Craig Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey (47% ABV) has been ‘extra-aged’ and produced using a mashbill of 51% rye, 35% corn and 14% malted barley.

This combination of grains, which relies heavily on corn as the secondary grain rather than a higher percentage of rye, has been the primary Rye mashbill used by Kentucky bourbon distilleries since the end of Prohibition.

This latest release is said to afford experimenting whiskey fans the opportunity to challenge their palates with a new extra-aged Rye offering from the award-winning Elijah Craig family of Bourbons.

Elijah Craig Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey, will be available in limited markets across the US from January, for a RRP of $29.99.
