TAMDHU LAUNCHES ITS FOURTH BATCH STRENGTH SERIES BOTTLING

Ian Macleod Distillers, has today announced the launch of the fourth edition of its multi award-winning Batch Strength series bottling, from its Tamdhu range of single malt Scotch whiskies.

Tamdhu Batch Strength No. 004 (57.8% ABV) has been matured in American and European Oak Oloroso seasoned casks, from the cooperages of Jerez in Spain’s ‘Sherry Triangle’.

Each of the release in the Tamdhu Batch Strength series, are distinctive and differ slightly in style and strength. This latest release from the Speyside based distillery, is said to deliver notes spiced oak, warming vanilla and freshly-shelled nuts on the nose. Followed by notes of summer berries and cream on the palate.

Commenting on the launch, Sandy McIntyre, Distillery Manager, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be launching our fourth annual Batch Strength expression, following an award-winning 2018 for Tamdhu. This is a magnificent addition to our growing range of Speyside single malts for the sherry wood connoisseur.”

Last week, Tamdhu announced the launch of a new 15 Year Old expression, which will be a limited annual release.

Tamdhu Batch Strength No. 004, will be available later this month from specialist retailers, for a RRP of £74.99.
