COOPERS' CRAFT LAUNCHES NEW BOURBON EXPRESSION

Brown-Forman, has announced the launch of a new expression in its Coopers’ Craft bourbon range.

Coopers’ Craft Barrel Reserve Bourbon (50% ABV) has been matured in unique chiselled and charred American white oak barrels, that are said to allow the whiskey to interact more deeply with the wood.

Both the new Coopers’ Craft Barrel Reserve, and their standard Bourbon expression, which launched in 2016, begin with the same spirit but are aged using different wood techniques from the barrel resulting in final products with distinctively different flavour profiles – ranging from light and gentle to bold and robust.

Honouring the men and women who raise the barrels, Coopers’ Craft celebrates the company’s more than 70 years of barrel-making and wood expertise as the only major distiller that owns its own new barrel cooperage.

Commenting on the launch, Chris Morris, Brown-Forman Master Distiller, said: “Kentucky bourbon is famous around the world for its maturation in new, charred oak barrels. Consumers will be able to experience the distinctive taste that this tradition delivers in the only bourbon that celebrates the barrel crafting art.”

Coopers’ Craft Barrel Reserve Bourbon, will be available later this month in selected states across the US, for a RRP of $29.99.
